Learning to drive 운전 배우기

My mum wants to learn to drive, because she wants to travel with her friends to be away from my dad. She lied to him about the reason.
우리 엄마는 운전을 배우고 싶어한다. 왜냐하면 친구들과 여행가서 아빠로부터 멀리 떨어져 있고 싶으시기 때문이다. 엄마가 이런 이유에 대해서 아빠에게 거짓말 했다.

My mum : “I think your eyes are not doing a good job, so I should get a driving licence. So I can drive for you when you want to go out somewhere.”
엄마 : 당신 시력도 안좋은데, 제가 운전면허 따야겠어요. 그래서 당신 어디가야 될 때 제가 운전해서 모셔드릴 수 있게요.
My dad : “Hm, that would be a good idea.”
아빠 : 좋은 생각이네.
My mum : “It is all for you”
엄마 : 전부 당신을 위한거에요.

My mum passed the theory exam and now she is learning how to drive on a real road. 엄마는 필기시험에 합격하셨고 지금은 도로주행을 배우고 계신다.
My mum didn’t want my dad to teach her, because everybody advised her not to learn from her husband. But my stubborn dad insisted. 모든 사람들이 남편에게 운전배우는것은 좋지 않다고 충고해서 엄마는 아빠가 운전을 가르치는것을 원치 않으셨지만, 고집불통인 아빠가 기필코 주장하셨다.

My mum : The car is not moving well, I think the car is broken.
엄마 : 차가 잘 안 움직이네, 고장났나봐요.
My dad : No, you are driving with the handbrake on.
아빠 : 아니, 당신이 기아도 안 풀고 운전하고 있잖아.
My mum : Oh! Sorry. Beginner’s mistake.
엄마 : 아! 미안해요, 초보자 실수.

In 20 minutes. 20분후에

My dad : Please put the right signal on, we need to turn right.
아빠 : 우회전 해야 되니깐 우측 깜빡이 켜요.
My mum : Alright. I will.
엄마 : 알겠어요, 그럴께요.
And she turned on the left signal by mistake.
그리곤 엄마는 실수로 왼쪽 깜빡이를 켜셨다.
My dad : No! Right signal. Are you stupid?!!! You don’t even know which is right and left?
아빠 : 아니!! 오른쪽 깜빡이! 당신 바보야! 어느쪽이 오른쪽인지 왼쪽인지도 몰라!!
My mum : ……….-_-+++++

I could see that my mum was getting more upset every time my dad criticised her driving skills.
아빠가 엄마의 운전실력을 비판할때마다 엄마가 점 점 더 화가나는것이 보였다.
My dad : You should merge here, change lanes. You can’t stay in the first lane doing 50kms an hour.
아빠 : 여기서 끼어들어, 차선 바꿔. 1차선에서 누가 50km로 달려!
My Mum : Too many cars are coming, I feel like I will hit them. I can’t change lane!
엄마 : 너무 많은 차들이 오고있잖아요. 꼭 차들을 들이박을 것 같단말이에요. 차선 변경 못하겠어요!
My dad : A car behind you is beeping!!!
아빠 : 뒷 차가 빵빵거리잖아.
My Mum : I put the “New driver” sticker on the back, they shouldn’t beep me!
엄마 : 초보자 스키커 뒤에다 붙였는데, 빵빵거리면 안되지!
My dad : Focus! You should keep looking in front, not to the side. The traffic light is orange now, you need to stop!
아빠 : 집중해! 앞만 봐, 옆에보질 말고. 노란불이니깐 여기서 멈춰.
My mum was too nervous so she just passed the red light.
엄마가 너무 긴장하셔서 빨간불에 지나가고 말았다.
My dad : There was a camera, they will send me a fine. YOU should pay it.
아빠 : 카메라 있었잖아, 벌금 보내면 니가 내라.
My mum : I can’t do this anymore !!!! You bastard!!! You get out here!
엄마 : 더이상 못 해먹겠네! 이 나쁜놈아! 여기서 내려 !
The car has pulled over and my dad had to get out. My poor dad. I will see you at home~
